A Letter Beneath the Wisping Trees
Dearest Friend,
As I sit among the velvet grasses of our beloved meadow, I dream of the days we get to meet. I see the sweetness of the summer sun dancing on the ground as it shines through the leaves of our old trees. In these quiet moments, I am reminded that every beginning carries a promise, the promise of a better tomorrow, and the faith of a greater bond. A bond indeed, one so strong it will remain until we are carried home. I’m reminded of Ecclesiastes 4:12, “And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—— a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” May this cord remain strong, woven together by the grace of God.
Through this cord I see the crowd, gathered to welcome a new union. Hand in hand, they will stand before each other, saying their vows as the mountains reflect the sun’s golden hues, cascading like waterfalls of alabaster. They’ll say their vows beneath the open sky, celebrating their new life and their journey as they make their way. They’ll enjoy the night as they take flight into the dawn of a brand new day. I write in this journal of their loving embrace, the cheers of the night before it’ll be gone without a trace. The hands held tight, the dinner at night, and the dance as the sun bids adieu. I’ll write it all down as the memory is found, the words written upon the pages of time.
The day is not long, it passes almost as fast as it starts, leaving behind the thoughts of yesterday. An echo in the night, a home for His light, a place where two becomes one. I have not always known what the day will behold, but I know the beauty of the meadow before me. The meadow of grass, trees, and a creek—— it hums and buzzes, whispers and wanes, full of life, sounds, and awe. Lights twinkle, the stars come out at night, the moon rises, and the winds fall into the silence of the sleeping sun.
Welcome, Friend, I hope you spend but a moment or two. Reflect on your time, the union of life, surrounded by the peaks of Paradise Valley. It will be our pleasure to welcome you here into our beloved home. Our meadow of old, known for peace, tranquility, and love. Visit soon, meet me beneath the wisping trees, take a deep breath, and enjoy the new day’s dawn.
Until we meet again among the grasses,
Your Friend,
The Shepherd of Wisping Meadow
